Stampin Up Wonderful You stamped card

IMGP3806 Hello to you on your Monday! If you are Canadian hopefully you got today off as a holiday, I know some people had to work- boo. I got some stamping done this weekend, enough for a whole week of blogging so it's off to a good start.

Here is a card I made using the Wonderful You stamp set. I saw a card very similar to this on a demo group I belong too and fell in love with the design and colours. This is my interpretation of their card. It's also the card being made in my Tuesday class this week.

I used a choco chip base and then used old olive designer paper and whisper white. I then stamped the flowers using chocolate chip or old olive ink. Stamped a tag, punched it out using my ovals, a wee bit o'ribbon and voila! I hope you like it!

Stampin Up Sweet Shapes Card

IMGP3779 What a wet day we started out with today, holy cow! I awoke to booming thunder and lightning. Which I actually love, weird eh! I love hearing the rain and drinking tons of tea Coffeebath. That's the good life to me! This card was so fun to make! I took a piece of Almost Amethyst paper ( 4 x 7 and scored at 4 1/4 inches) and stamped in whisper white craft ink the flower on the top flap. After punching out a square I stamped the butterfly with Almost Amethyst and Perfect Plum and glittered it up. I added a belly band and SU purple glitter to the trim of the flap. Another card I may mail to myself...........

MFT stamps- Meet me at the cafe

IMGP3780I fell in love with this stamp set awhile ago from My Favorite Things. One of my groups of friends like to get together about once a month and go out for dinner. We are actually going out this week to a great place here called Cafe Demetre that has great food and even better desserts! They use crepes in most of their wraps and desserts and all I can say is Yummmmmm! I love the clean lines of this set and the way the ladies are clearly enjoying each other's company and catching up on their friendship.

I used Not Quite Navy for my card base (5x5 by 10) to make a square card. I then used some Daisy Bucket paper I have been HOARDING and have finally come around to using it by giving myself a stern talking to about how much paper I have (and don't use cause they are too pretty) and keep buying more and more. It's like a gambling addiction. Do you know when I drive past scrapbook/stamp stores I actually have to grip the wheel tighter to make sure I don't make a mad turn in traffic to go in and drool over their supplies! I have started buying 2 sheets of a paper I like- one to cut up and use. One to cuddle and caress and show it off to my friends.........crazy I know but how many of you do the same thing! Hmmm, just as I though, I can see many heads nodding at their computers. Again ladies, you are not alone.....LOL. Enjoy your day!

Pixie stix holder- Office Accoutrement stamp

IMGP3776I made these Pixie stix holders to see how they turned out as I hope to use them as party favours soon. They turned out not too bad since I came up with the measurements off the top of my head at 1am the other night LOL. I used my sadly under-used crimper to crimp the bottom and add 'flair' to it's belly band. Flair, you can tell I am writing this late at night as I am getting giddy!!!!! I stepped away from my traditional colour choices and used bold colours for summer this go around. I used the small flower from the Office Accoutrement set and used a white gel pen in each centre to make it pop. Let me know if you'd like the measurements!

12 x 12 Summer Scrapbook page

IMGP3775 Here's a page I did this week using the Le Jardin scrapbook paper that is retiring. I wanted a fun page but with soft colours to highlight the garden pic I am going to put in it with my fairy statue that goes out in my garden every year.

Have a great Thursday!

Stampendous Changito monkeys card

IMGP3773 Hi, I wanted to make a fun card to mail to my girls while they are away for their summer vacation with family that they don't get to see most of the year. I bought this set last spring because let's face it, it is so cute!!!!!!  I practiced using my new copic markers and then added stickles glitter to make it shine- my girls love the glitter like their momma! And yes, that is sewing on the card with my mini sewing machine- let's just say my kids are glad I don't try to make them clothes LOL

Fun and fast notes- paper pierced birdie

Card I tell ya, if it isn't pun fun it's fun and fast notes I reach for. I love the flexibility of these all occasion sets. I cut the saying off the image and attach it to the side of the stamp to give myself more options. Hmmm, looks like my green layer is crooked LOL, oops. This is a fun layout to use, why don't you try making a card with this layout and link to it in your blog comments- I will add them to my blog! Take care and have a fantastic weekend,

Pun Fun- Hip Hippo-ray!

IMGP3664 Here is a cute little fella! I love this little hippo. I coloured him with SU markers and used craft ink around the edges of the card to make it pop. I am so glad this set isn't retiring!

6x6 Recipe page using heat and stick powder

IMGP3681Here is a 6x6 recipe page that I did for Courtney's 6x6 monthly recipe swap. I'm not sure the pic does it justice but I embossed the corner swirl from Doodle this with Heat and Stick powder and used our cranberry coloured glitter on top of it and it just sparkles like crazy! I then used a small flower stamp from Office Accoutrement and Purely pomegranate striped ribbon to finish it off. I really loved the page when it was finished and it was worth how time consuming it was to do the embossing on 19 pages! The glitter was a challenge to get off the rest of the page as it is so fine it sticks like crazy. After trying many different things I ended up sitting on the floor with a soft paint brush and rubbing the page on my shag carpet then using the brush to get the rest off. I am sure when it was vacuumed they wondered about all the glitter tee hee! A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do for her art LOL!

Fresh cut note card in Gable green and elegant eggplant

IMGP3671 IMGP3669

Hi all, I am dashing out the door to work and Jason is right behind me waiting impatiently LOL. The trick to this card was stamping the image in Almost Amethyst ink and while it was still wet on the stamp dabbing on Elegant Eggplant and then stamping. After that I added some gable green. Oops, he's breathing heavily indicating it's time to go, see ya ladies!
